QEP Planning and Development Committee
Having a wide range of perspectives and stakeholders involved in the QEP planning and development process is paramount to its success. Therefore, the QEP Planning and Development Committee was convened in March 2022 to provide guidance and input throughout the QEP process.

The QEP Planning and Development Engagement Work Group is responsible for:
- Planning and executing activities that will ensure broad and equitable participation from the VCU community in the proposal development and topic selection processes. Activities may include town halls, webinars, workshops, etc.
- Development of the engagement activities may occur over the summer months. Anticipated activities include a formal workshop and information series planned for August as well as engagement activities throughout Fall 2022 to ensure community input on the topic selection.

The QEP Planning and Development Research and Development Work Group is responsible for:
- Facilitating RFP launch
- Researching models for identifying topics through RFP processes
- Supporting proposal development by developing tools and resources (informed by research and best practices) to assist VCU community members engaging in the RFP process

The QEP Planning and Development Evaluation Work Group is responsible for:
- Working closely with the R&D Work Group on defining terms and criteria for evaluation of proposals
- Determining the process for evaluating proposals
- Developing a rubric for scoring of proposals
- Coordinating evaluation of proposals
To ensure a fair and equitable process, members of the evaluation work group cannot submit proposals for the QEP.

The Marketing and Communications Work Group is responsible for:
- Ensuring consistent core messaging around the QEP
- Ensuring visibility of the QEP Planning and Development Committee’s work
- Assisting with and promoting the work of the other work groups, such as disseminating the RFP to the VCU community
- Determining key milestones for communications throughout the QEP process
- Determining appropriate channels for QEP communications
- Developing content as needed to accomplish the above goals
