General Education Assessment

General education at VCU, known as "ConnectED" is a cornerstone of our undergraduate programs, designed to help students broaden their perspectives both within and beyond the classroom. ConnectED serves as a bridge between academic learning and real-world experiences. The program is centered around six core learning goals, with two goals assessed each year over a three-year assessment cycle. This structured approach is guided by a commitment to evidence-based continuous improvement, ensuring that our assessments lead to meaningful change.
